Providing health education to patients visiting outpatient clinics in all specialties, their families, and those accompanying patients in the internal departments on how to prevent bedsores and how to care for them when they occur. Then, the scientific activities of the medical team were held in the presence of Professor Dr. Hazem Hakim, Director of the Hospital, and a large number of doctors and nursing staff. His Excellency praised the efforts made in this aspect of patient care and honored a number of distinguished nurses in appreciation of their efforts. Then, Ms. Fatma Shafiq, Director of Nursing and General Supervisor of the Skin and Wound Care Team, gave a speech in which she thanked the nursing staff in attendance and urged them to do more for the sake of the patients to maintain the high level of patient care reached by the hospital. She also pointed out that the Specialized Medical Hospital is the only hospital in Mansoura University Hospitals that has had a specialized nursing team for skin and wound care since 2022, which contributed to reducing the incidence of bedsores for hospital patients to much less than all global statistics.
