Specialized Medical Hospital celebrates World Diabetes Day 2025
Mansoura University Specialized medical Hospital held a celebration today, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to mark World Diabetes Day.
The theme was "Towards a Healthy Lifestyle with Diabetes and Avoiding Complications."
This is an important occasion to raise awareness about the importance of preventing diabetes and managing the disease properly to avoid its complications.

- Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shoma- dean of the Faculty of Medicine
- Prof. Dr. Ghada al-qunaishi- vice dean for Environmental Affairs
- Prof. Dr. Alaa Wafa- vice dean for graduate studies and Research Affairs
- Prof. Dr. Al-Shaarawi Kamal- executive director of University Hospitals
- Prof. Dr. Sayed Hatata- head of Internal Medicine departments
- Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hilali - head of the diabetes and Endocrinology unit
- Prof. Dr. Hazem Hakim- director of the hospital
In the presence of doctors and faculty members of the hospital; Dr. Fayez al-qanawi, the former head of the Internal Medicine departments, was honored for his efforts during his tenure as head of the Internal Medicine Department.
The celebration aims to raise awareness about diabetes and the importance of its prevention and education on ways to prevent diabetes through:
- Lectures given by a group of doctors specializing in the field of diabetes, which dealt with the latest developments in the field of prevention and treatment.
- Conducting free tests for diabetics.
