Schedule of the International Day of Pressure Ulcers Prevention

Registration: (09:00 - 09.30 a.m)

First session: (09.30 -10.30 a.m)

for patient’s awareness (call patients previously admitted to the hospital with pressure ulcer, patients in outpatient’s clinics and invite for some hospital employee who interested in pressure ulcer.

In this session:

1. Simplified video presentation for patients about pressure ulcer discovering and how to deal.
2. brochures for patient algorithm for pressure ulcer self-assessment (clarification with phots).
3. patient’s awareness information by Wound care team in hospital.
4. Free wound care for patients and employee.

Second session: (10.30 a.m. - 01:00 p.m.)

Scientific part for medical team Staff (physicians, nurses, pharmacists).

1. Brochures about algorithm for pressure ulcer management for professionals.
2. Dr. Samar Moussa (Lecturer of critical care and emergencies) Lecture about the role of nutrition in prevention and treatment of pressure ulcer.
3. Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed )Assistant Lecturer of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Diabetic Foot (Lecture about comprehensive staging and management of pressure ulcer.
4. MRS/ Fatma Shafeq )Head of the Nursing Department) Lecture about bundle of prevention of pressure ulcer.
5. Pharmacist/ Ahmed Alaa Lecture about Pressure ulcer mechanism and advanced wound care dressing.
