The Geriatrics Unit of the Internal Medicine Department at the Specialized Medical Hospital held a celebration on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, to mark the International Day of Older Persons. This was done by holding the third scientific day under the supervision of the Head of the Internal Medicine Departments, Prof. Dr. Fayez Al-Qanawi, Prof. Dr. Hazem Hakim, Director of the Hospital, and Head of the Unit, Prof. Dr. Sayed Hatata, in cooperation with the Liver Diseases, Digestive System Diseases, and Speech Pathology Units.

The International Day of Older Persons is a global occasion to celebrate the elderly, highlight the challenges they face, and raise awareness of the importance of providing care and support to them.
